Pizza Dough Sticky Buns

That’s right, sticky buns from pizza dough! Easy Peasy!!

Pizza Dough: Purchase fresh bakery pizza dough from the store. Try to use the dough the same day it is purchased; it is freshest and more pliable.

Roll the dough out on a floured board into a rectangle shape to the size you desire.

Filling:

4 oz room temp butter

1-2 cups coconut sugar (depending on size of dough and desire for sweetness)

2 tsp cinnamon

1 cup diced pecans or pecan pieces

Combine, Spread filling evenly over the majority of the dough.

Roll the dough with filling to a long roll with filling inside dough.

Cut the roll into pieces crosswise and place around in a round or Bundt pan, layer if necessary.

Reverse Topping:

Repeat the filling only using melted butter (if desired, use pecan halves here). Spread on the bottom of the pan then place the cut buns on top of the topping in the pan.

Bake at 350o until brown and totally risen. Let the buns cool for 5 minutes, then flip the buns onto a serving plate while still hot. Topping will be slightly runny because of the butter, but will solidify as they cool.

Enjoy

(Note: buns are more enjoyable if warm)
